Binge Eating Disorder

Binge-eating disorder is characterized by frequent consumption of unusually large amounts of food and inability to stop eating.

Almost everyone overeats on occasion, such as having seconds or thirds of a holiday meal. But when, excessive overeating that feels out of control and becomes a regular occurrence, it then crosses the line to binge-eating disorder.

Symptoms:

  • Eating significantly more than those around you
  • Feel guilty and uncomfortable with the amount you eat
  • Difficulty controlling the amount you eat
  • Eating when full or hungry
